oz/115ml). There is not much difference between the carbohydrate content in
most wine so we have only listed a few. Carbohydrates are not the main
source of energy in wine its the alcoholic levels that contain
most of the calories.
Some wine contains up to 15% alcohol by volume. As a comparison alcohol contains 7 calories per gram and fat has 9
calories per gram. The higher the volume of alcohol a wine contains the more
calories within the wine per glass.
