Fat burning workouts

The obese person V's the athlete for a fat burning workout Everyone has a different level of fitness, and this changes the "fat burning" rules slightly. Some people can continue fat burning for longer periods, for example, an athlete can exercise at a higher level of exertion and still burn body fat for energy - just think of marathon runners they have a fat burning workout every time they run! An athlete's cardiovascular system has been trained to work more efficiently and thus delivers sufficient oxygen to muscle cells enabling them to keep up the fat burning process. An athlete has more potential to stay slim even if they overindulge occasionally. They very often have a low fat percentage ( body composition ) and a lower body weight so every movement is made with ease to allow slow-burning fat stores to be utilised. On the other hand an obese person may become out of breath during a walk to the shops, their cardiovascular system cannot supply demanding muscles with the oxygen required to keep cells fat burning. The extra weight this person carries also makes muscle cells work harder so easy exercise for the athlete becomes anaerobic exercise for the overweight person. Anaerobic exercise burns mostly carbohydrates and this will not lower fat stores.
